About Me

My Background

Pregnant, living in the congested Koreatown of Los Angeles I sought relief for intense lower back pains and even more intense stress. At the time, I was able to find one TV show on PBS that introduced me to the world of yoga. 17 years later I’m now devoted to the belief that a committed yoga practice brings strength, flexibility and vibrancy to one’s life. I enjoy studying Buddhism as well as practicing and teaching Hatha and Kundalini Yoga to people of all ages and backgrounds. I love incorporating music/sound, mindfulness techniques, guided meditation and breathing practices into my corporate, private and group yoga classes. I participated as Lead Teacher in the Duke University/UNC Bass Connections Yoga Research project. I served as a board member for Y.O.G.A. For Youth, NC. I am a Yoga Alliance certified E-200RYT. Off the mat, you will find me drinking chai tea, dancing, hiking and volunteering at the NC Botanical Gardens!
